Description
NoiseWorks Enshape
Stable compression using DAEA.
DAEA makes it possible to achieve consistent compression on the vocal track without a threshold. The volume curve of the signal is captured in detail and displayed in the interface as blue (Input) and yellow (Target) envelopes. This allows for separate editing of attack and release, which are always applied relative to the volume of the transient. Quiet parts (verse) are compressed just as effectively as loud parts (chorus), resulting in a uniform sound. No over- or under-compression.
Only four parameters replace the compressor.
Only four parameters are required to control the compression level. Attack and Release for the Input Envelope (blue) describe how detailed the original signal should be captured. Attack and Release for the Target Envelope (yellow) determine the adjustment to be made. Longer attack values result in a reduction of the transient, while longer release values enhance sustain and release.
